Longevity is a mega trend impacting life for all of us. We asked Shivani what this means to her and what she does to impact change in this field of work:
My work as an actuary, academic and entrepreneur cuts across three major aspects of longevity: understanding and responding to shifts in the burden of disease (Percept), improving access to human-centred solutions for patients living with serious illness (Alignd), and making it possible for people to articulate their preferences for healthcare later in life (Swansong). My work recognises the disproportionate impact on women of an ageing society, and the need to pay close attention to their voices to build more inclusive and equitable solutions.
